Yellow - Aluminium Cans

Aluminium will be used up within 400 years. Recycling aluminium cans can reduce pollution due to metal waste and would also cause less metal ores to be mined.

Tips on recycling aluminium cans:

i)                    Remaining fluid in the aluminium cans should be drained. The cans should also be rinsed before putting into the bins to prevent breeding of bacteria and insects.

ii)                   We should recycle soft drink and beer cans and not steel cans.

iii)                 Aluminium cans should be crushed to save space.

iv)                 Spray cans or cans containing paint or dangerous substances should not be put into the bin.
