This is an earnest call for support to St. Paul’s Convent School to build a three-storey construction that safeguards the privacy of the school when access to Christ the King Chapel is available via the Garden that is open to the public. This construction is to create a MakerSpace Centre for our students to explore and experience personal growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.
因毗鄰學校的基督君王小堂前的花園將向公眾開放，為保障學生私隱，本校擬興建一座三層高的學生活動中心，名為「創客空間」作遮擋。我們殷切期望各位支持此項目，讓學生在「創客空間」內探索和體驗創新與創業精神。
NEW CONSTRUCTION: MakerSpace Centre
新建大樓：「創客空間」中心
The theme of the 170th Anniversary is “Roots and Wings – Now and Beyond”. The MakerSpace Centre, designed like a pair of Wings on both ends, aims to provide a vividly inspiring learning space for Paulinians to embrace the latest ideas in today’s fast-changing technological world and beyond. The interior design provides an inspirational space for personal growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Ground floor consists of a PE storeroom and an unmanned store on the two ends, while the middle zone is for Paulinians to meet for relaxation and recreation.
The First floor is divided into three separate areas. This includes the Serenity Wing, which stimulates Paulinians to find the roots of their deeper (spiritual) self. The Confidence Enhancement Wing helps them to gain confidence to improve and extend their potentials and skills. The Positive Energy Zone in the middle enables them to expand their positive energy, creativity and innovation.
The Second floor can be used for multiple purposes according to the students’ needs, as a MakerSpace for the future. It provides a flexible inspirational space for Paulinians to implement their innovative and entrepreneurial aspirations and dreams.
170週年紀念活動的主題是「根深源遠．展翅未來」。「創客空間」中心頂部有兩個像翅膀一樣展開的羽翼設計，為保祿人提供了一個充滿朝氣、鼓舞人心的學習空間，讓他們在快速變化的科技世界及其他領域中擁抱最新的想法。而室內設計的意念以激勵個人成長、創新和創業為目標。
底層兩旁是體育用品儲物室和無人商店，而中間的開放空間將供保祿人聚會，作休憩及娛樂之用。
一樓分為三個獨立的區域。其中包括「寧謐區」讓保祿人在內尋找更深層的自我（尤其在身心靈上）；「提升自信區」幫助保祿人增強自信心，以進一步拓展他們的技能和激發潛能；中間的「正能量區」讓他們拓展自己的正能量、創造力和創新精神。
二樓為未來創客空間，其用途可因應學生需要作靈活改變，讓保祿人得以實現他們的創新、創業願望和夢想。
Serenity Wing
寧謐區
A quiet immersive environment where Paulinians can experience serenity and develop their spiritual life through meditation and rendezvous with God.
提供一個沉浸式安靜的環境，讓保祿人透過體驗寧靜，藉默想或與主相會，促進其心靈成長。
Positive Energy Zone
正能量區
A makerspace where Paulinians can release their stress via challenging interactive games and gain inspiration on positive energy, creativity and innovation.
在這個「創客空間」內，保祿人透過具挑戰性的互動遊戲釋放壓力，從而獲得正能量、創造力和創新的靈感。
Confidence Enhancement Wing
提升自信區
An enriched state-of-the-art audio and visual environment that captures the live stage performance of Paulinians in the performing arts for further self-confidence development and enhanced delivery of presentation.
設豐富及先進的視聽配置空間，通過拍攝舞台表演藝術活動，從而增強他們的自信心, 提升保祿人的演講和演示能力。
FINANCIAL GOAL: HK$17 million
籌款目標︰港幣1,700萬元
The target of our Fund Raising effort is HK$17M. Should donations exceed expectations, further improvements will be made to the school infrastructure.
是次籌款目標為港幣1,700萬元。若捐款有幸超越預期，將用作進一步改善學校基建。
